Our one day trip takes us around to the Hurunui River former the highlights of our Half Day Trip. Riding with us is an adventure, experience and you will be involved in the daily labor on the trip. Leaving Glenrae Hut we ride south over Beau Saddle down to the Hurunui River, crossing and subsequent the river and viewing many mountain peaks on our way back to Waitohi Downs. Yes you will be involved in the daily work, as saddling horses, helping with packing the horses and daily tasks in the hut. We have met people from all walks of life, and many seem to come for a day and final up staying for weeks or even months! Thanks for a really enjoyable trip we’ve had a lot of laughs, the company has been great, countryside amazing and attractive horses.
Leaving Valley Hut after we retrace our steps back to the stables crossing the Hurunui River earlier arriving back at the stables. One of the sweetest horses, she loves being with people and getting lots of attention, an upcoming horse that will find a store in everyone’s heart. Thanks for a really enjoyable trip we’ve had a lot of laughs, the company has been great, countryside marvelous and beautiful horses. If you are a rider you will assist us in the mornings getting the horses ready and will also be asked to aid with the free running pack horses and limp horses.
